Don't miss the SPARKS Learner of the Year 2024 Grand Final happening tomorrow!
We’re thrilled to announce that the eagerly anticipated Grand Final of the SPARKS Learner of the Year 2024 is just one day away! This two-day event will take place on the 23rd and 24th of April at the Schneider Electric Innovation Centre in Coventry.
The regional heats took place across January and February, with Level 2 and 3 electrical learners competing in six regional locations across the UK. The judges had a challenging task selecting the finalists, with some results coming down to a single point. After careful consideration, we're pleased to announce the following regional winners as the finalists for this year's SPARKS Learner of the Year:
- Daniel White (Bridgwater and Taunton College)
- Jade Norris (Bath College)
- Daniel Powell (Derwentside College)
- Kian Milroy (St Helens College)
- Kian Baker-Humphreys (MIT Skills LTD)
- Jane Thorp (Suffolk New College)
- Jarred McCarthy (Coleg y Cymoedd)
The competition has been sponsored by many big industry names, with Schneider Electric as platinum sponsor. Additional sponsors include Electric Center, Milwaukee, IDEAL Industries, AICO, The IET, Luceco Lighting, Prysmian, Snickers Workwear, FIX Radio and NAPIT.

For over a decade, the SPARKS competition has been a pivotal platform for showcasing and celebrating the emerging talent within the UK electrical sector, significantly boosting confidence among the nation’s future electrical experts. Many former competitors have continued to achieve remarkable success, highlighting the competition’s role as a valuable launchpad for aspiring professionals.
